Got rid of the pot metal Mega Arms skeletonized trigger, and installed the Guarder parkerized steel mil-spec trigger. Much better.

It took a while but now I'm starting to become a little more impressed. I guess I expected Pluto and they were aiming for the moon?

If its the same metal as the lm4, I had a buddy of mine try to anodized his lm4 before, and it didnt come out right, something about the metal being the wrong kind to anodized?

Cerakote sounds like the best option for refinishing LM4 receivers.

This was my LM4 Anodised. You can clearly see the difference compared to the upper receiver rail where it wasn't anodised and the paint flaking off.

I have seen many anodised LM4 receivers, so clearly the metal is good to go for regular anodising. What I wanted to do on my MKM was to have it hard coat anodised, or Mil-Spec Type III class 2 to be specific. The shop will let me know if that is possible on the receiver material, or if not it will be finished in Type II anodising as done previously on my LM4.

For example, here is the anodising/engraving service provided by Guarder in Taiwan specifically for the KSC/KWA LM4:

Did it effect the trigger pull any? Do you feel a difference?

My triggers are modified to be single stage with very short travel, almost immediately after purchasing, so I could not tell you for certain. It does need a little filing to sit right in the MKM lower, otherwise it's a drop in upgrade.

(Notice the back of the trigger where the straight edge was slightly rounded.)

well i must say the one piece upper makes the pts rainer arms charging handle really tight...
i had to file it down in some places.

and this was... well not simple
Posted Image

Current MKM
-PTS Rainer Arms Raptor Charging Handle
-LM4 buttstock (i HATE the crane stock just because its the aeg one..)
-RS Surefire SF3P-556 Flash Suppressor

and really #2? noooooo why cant it be #1

For those who got the barrel nut off, was there a good amount of thread lock?  Is the thread also clockwise or counter clock wise?

no threadlock present on mine. But I did heat it up before removal. And it is clockwise

Is there any Comment from PTS about the obviously NOT ANODIZED Receiver (according to this thread) ?
I mean they advertise and sell it as Hard Coat Anodized Billet Receiver and its only poor Painting  ?

Really strange and not nice imho

Not sure if serious....the quoted text days PTS. Also the real one will mount with very little grinding/filing.

Real Steel Sling plates will no longer require modification to fit on the Mega Arms MKM, a welcome improvement from the LM4.
