Since this discussion about Magpul grips(on the new 2009 M4 RIS) came up I want to make things clear. I was looking to buy a new Magpul grip, and the three that I was looking at are...MagPul PTS MIAD Grip, MagPul PTS MIAD Grip V.2 and MagPul PTS MOE Grip. If you know anything about these grips working or not, please post something. Please be clear to, don't say something like"I think I know some body who says one of these may work"or something like that...YES or NO please. I don't want to do ANY moding to the grip or gun at all. If anybody has experience with these grips please post about the comfort and feel too.
                                                                                                                                                            Thanks!!!

I have also been looking at the UTG Reinforced M16 Series Pistol Grip and the Ergo Grip...fit don't fit??? confortable???

Dose the KWA stock motored plate fit on the MagPul PTS MIAD Grip, and if it does, does it fix the problem of ridding the motor to high? I know I would pick performance over looks any day...well to an extent. :D

If one manages to ruin the gears, which is very difficult to do in the first place, a classic army standard ratio gear set will work and does not need to be shimmed.

I was asked to fix a customers gun who did not want to dish out the money for a KWA gear set  :rolleyes2:

Matrix Full Metal M4 / M16 68rd No Winding Mid-cap Magazine.
http://www.airsoftpo...oducts_id=29302

I've had these for a year now and they are superb, full metal, fits my SR12 perfectly and feeds without problems with high RoF.
60$ for ten metal 68 rd magazines ain't bad, I'd call them low caps but.. ;)
Recommended if you are looking for metal low-caps.  Posted Image

I assume you mean for the KM4A1? If so, the hand guard should fit though you will more than likely need to remove the metal heat shield inside to accommodate the battery. MAID grip no.

G&G 79 rd mids still require some tinkering for a good feed (first few bbs often wont feed feed from new mags and they are on the tight side).  I just had a half box sent back for that reason related to a customer with 2 sr12s and an sr5.  He's now on the new Mag 190 round Metal midcaps.  Today is his third day of testing.  He's out in the field with them and i have heard nothing but good feedback.  BTW its 24 degs outside... WTH!
Wondering how the testing is going with the Mag brand 190rnd. midcaps?  Also, is there a release date for the KWA midcaps?

Hello,

I bought genuine Magpul 120rds PMag (Not Green label version), but it is very tight fit on my KWA M4A1. Somebody who have that mags, what do you recommend to do for best fitting? Sand down magwell or magazine itself? Which side of magwell or magazine to sand?

Thank you.

Sand down the rear sides of the mag, a little off the spine and maybe off the forward side "nubs". It dosen't require much to be taken off, so sand a bit, test fit, sand a bit more, etc.
I only used 320 grit to do this. The sanding will leave a dusty looking area where sanded, so just rub a bit of silicon oil on this and it should disappear. The easiest way to tell exactly where to sand is to put the mag in and out a few times and there will be "shiney rub marks" where it's making hard contact... sand there areas. I'll post up some pictures later to show what I mean.

If you sand the mag-well, KWA mags or others that fit okay before may be too loose or sloppy.

Thank you for answer.
On 1st page of that topic I found the following:
10. Magpul P-Mag - tight fit, need light filing on mag well (USER TESTED)

I prefer magwell modification, because after that it is possible to use other 3rd party mags, which tight fits also. I do not want damage my magpul mags surface.
Do you have any suggestion about magwell modification?

Personally, I wouldn't. If you mess it up you are SOL as the new lowers are not available for sale at this time. Also, if you mess up a mag it's a lot less $ than the receiver Not to mention you are assuming that a magwell mod that is ok for a MAGPUL PMAG will accommodate another tight mag which is not necessarily the case. I have modified a number of the PMAGs and it's really not hard at all.:gun:

I just tested 3 MAG magazines - mid-cap 190 rounds. They feed very well in my SR5. One note: I was shooting about 80-100 rounds in each. When I stuffed it full, the first few shots were funky. If you use these I would fill them to about 160 rounds. It was just a quick test but they seem very good. They cost about $17.00 each. One other thing, they have a nice finish and feel very study. They are much more ridged then most metal mags I've used.:gun:

Note: I did not break these in or lube them. They are straight from the box.

A new one to add:

The Magpul AFG (Angled Fore Grip) fits TIGHT on the bottom rail of the SR5/ 10/ 12. It requires some sanding on the mating surface of the AFG to get it to fit. Aided with some light taps with a rubber mallet you can get in into position and screw in the fixing bolt. Unless you plan on taking it on/off repeatedly it should be fine. If you need/want to take it on and off repeatedly, keep sanding the mating surface until it goes on easier... I just didn't have the need as mine is on and staying there in one position.
