I receive my new gun this Wednesday and will be participating in the FAA Helium Project OP this weekend (http://theheliumproj...com/?page_id=10).

I'm hoping my Holy Cow mags will work well with the new gun, evike was supposed to test before shipping.

I'm also hoping my existing batteries will work (9.6 butterfly and 8.4 stock stick)

Not sure if there is a recommended BB for this gun. I have a pouch of WE Precision .20G Match Grade and a pouch of Matrix .20G

I'm already seriously considering following this advice to clean the hop up bucking from all that packing grease.
http://kwausa.com/fo...?showtopic=4787

What do I need to know to have a great weekend using my new gun?

Before your big Op I would try to break in the gun first by shooting several thousand bb's through it.  And during this time make sure to clean your bucking and barrel several times.  And this will also help settle your spring a bit since it can shoot a tad over 400fps when new which can make your gun too hot to use.
Also I would recommend using a heavier weight bb like .25g or .30g.  Also I would recommend using high quality bb's like KWA/KSC bb's.

Your mags will definitely need to be broken in as well so make sure you use all of them when breaking in your gun.  Personally I would like to always use guns that have been tested true over time but also take a backup as plan B.

I cannot tell you how many times my friends and I jammed our KWAs with brands many considered "high quality" like Airsoft Elite, Matrix, and TSDs.

The BB's we always recommend are KSC's, not because we are trying to advertise it, but mainly because the KSC bb's are made by KWA, which the designs were based around. On top of that, KSC's have a proven track record amongst us who use it.

If you cannot get hold of KSC's, G&G's and Bioshots have also worked well amongst my friends who use them.

I wouldn't use anything under a .25 BB for KWA guns. and G&G .25 greens and whites work flawlessly with KWA G36Cs with MAG mids and M4RIS with King Arms 120rnd mids.

Also I wouldn't do anything with hop up disassembly until after the 45 day warranty expires.

Well I have confirmed with KWA that their ammo is not-biodegradable. I will likely begin using BioVAL or MadBull because the field I play at requires bio-bbs. I'm also going to have to compress that spring overnight to make sure I don't show up at the event shooting 400+fps with .20g BBs.

Does your field chrono your guns with hop on or completely off?

BB's never has the chance to degrade for me because they never make it past the barrel of my gun.

Go with Bioval, G&G or Bioshots. The Madbull .25g Bios I used were garbage.
