As the subject implies... what's going on with the ATP?

I see the Shpinx, big whoop! More GBB-R's are always nice, but what about the ATP Auto? Why can't we get some kind of update on this pistol?

Did you guys just drop the project? Was it not popular enough? Or maybe the Shpinx just takes presidence over a pistol you guys were suppposed to of released LAST YEAR.

Something on a positive update would be appreciated. We're the ones buying your products, and making you guys the money.. throw the people asking and waiting on the ATP Auto a bone please.

Bud, it's not the only gun that was supposed to come out last year, you gotta give it time. If i'm not mistaken, they're guns that were announced a whole year before the ATP Auto that still haven't came out.

Cam's right. The ATP Auto had an estimated time of arrival, nothing set in stone. I'm sure it is still being made, but do remember there are other guns that may be of a higher priority to release than others.

I HIGHLY doubt the project was dropped, Im sure its still on its way. Just gotta be a patient, if not, you might just end up with a unfinished gun that is worse than garbage. At least you know KWA is taking the time to work the kinks out of each project they take on.

It's actually the regular ATP. "Full Size FULL Metal ATP", when I was quickly scanning through Evike, I made the same mistake because of the "Full" part of the title.

The whole idea behind the question was at least to give some kind of update. I understand how the industry works when it comes to the latest/greatest..but at least let your loyal fans know there is SOMETHING happening. And as I rememeber it.. it was KWA spewing the whole "2012 release" not the people wanting it. Still, your points are all valid, and pushing out a new product just because people want it NOW, and not work out whatever kinks there are or may be is counter-productive.  I'd still buy from KWA because you're ONE of the best.. but it's disheartening when you get the run-around, or nothing at all...often.

But again, an UPDATE would be nice...a real one, not a BS one.

I dont think we'll be getting nearly as many updates or time estimates as we did last year. Im sure KWA doesnt want to give their loyal customers the run around, and sometimes people dont understand that an estimate is a estimate. We all must understand that there are many many many different variables that they cannot control.
There are people that waited three years for the LM4 release, sure there were complaints, but it was released!
I wouldnt worry about it too much.

If I have learned anything from my experience in marketing, product announcements is a very touchy subject.

On one hand you want to promote upcoming products to excite (& keep informed) your base, on the other hand you don't want to set anything in stone that can sour the base in case there are delays in bringing the products to market. With that said KWA is one of the only airsoft manufacturers to actively promote and inform their customers of upcoming products, so I give them some slack with their ETA's.

My question to you is, would you be happier if KWA had not announced the Full Auto ATP and you only found out about the ATP after it had been on sale for some time? :)

^^^  lots of times?   YES.

instead of getting my hopes up for something thats been teased for 2 years?

would have been better off not hearing about it until it was actually ready.

same thing on the magpul ERG m16.........    they had it... saw pix of it... saw demos of it.. even had a forum area for it........  now NOTHING. not even an ETA..

anticipation is a killer.     :-)

I would of been happier if KWA would just update on their products. Not leave their fan base hanging in the wind waiting for something/anything. This isn't about what I want, it's a simple courtesy to it's customers. I know enough working with four major computer manufacturers about eta's, product marketing, and announcements (more-so with Alienware before Dell bought them out). Yes it's a touchy subject but again.. KWA announced and stated the AA was set for a 2012 release.. since then, nothing...n o t h i n g.

So you're ok with that, and that's fine. For you.

I'd rather they come out with another "KWAlity" KWA product than to rush it out half-a$$ed.. agreed, but update..give the customer base a reason to still want the AA.

I don't see any reps in here defending KWA, just others making excuses for KWA (which is cool, becasue it at least is being discussed). But i'm not looking for excuses, just real answers from a real KWA rep. I've seen some of the answers the mods have provided in regards to others questions regarding the ATP, and it doesn't instill confidence or faith (http://kwausa.com/fo...?showtopic=9185) Look guys, i'm not holding my breath though, as I am certain nothing will come of this anyways. I'm still loyal to a good manufacturer, but frustrated that KWA doesn't give their customer base jack-squat as far as updates.. just teases.. and in the case of the ATP Auto, none. But hey! OH BOY, THE SPHINX.. pfft.

Is it so difficult to update? "Hey guys, here is where we are with (insert product here)."   Muuuust be...

Honestly, there have been NO updates on anything (regarding the ATPA, I could care less about the other products they're working on), and it has nothing to do with Shot Show. Right now, or for the longest time..

So, another excuse bites the dust...next!

The same thing happened with the AK GBB. I saw it, I saw demos, it was functional, but it's still not out. Either they're mass producing or fixing the kinks.

Oh well, better off to wait I guess. I wouldn't have gotten the Gen1 most likely anyways, I would wait till more stuff are fixed.

you dont know me & ive done nothing to you..   not making excuses or taking up for the lack of updates on any of the products..

so whats with all the tood my way?  trying to be a kybrd komando?  think it makes you look hard?   trying to impress a girl?  think it will get you an update faster?

instead of waiting,  you could just go buy someone else's product.... thats what the rest of us do when we are tired of waiting.

Taking this personal are you? This wasn't aimed to you at all as a matter of fact, and since you're not a spokesperson for KWA, whatever it is you have to say has no validity. You're an end-user, like the rest of us NOT EMPLOYED by KWA. Feeling a little better about yourself now that you've pumped yourself up and resort to baby-tactics? If you behaviour is any indication of the people KWA has trolling its forums, we're in deep trouble.

Again, for the people in the cheap seats..

This is all about KWA not updating on products, and that was it, nothing more. This was/is NOT about your personal feelings being hurt because you take a post in the negative. It is quite evident that you just can't handle someone wanting just a little more from KWA, not KWA's forum trollers. My issue is with KWA, not you. Clear?

Why is this happening?  KWA forums and it's users are usually so friendly.. =(

I can see how SDK would feel that was directed towards him, as you did directly quote him. I can also see why he would feel that was a personal attack.

At this point we are off topic, which was your feeling of lack of communication updates from KWA. For what it's worth, I have seen computer gaming (card games like Magic) companies that would give quarterly or semi-annual "State of the Game" announcements. This seemed to be a happy medium to keep the community happy with updates on the current status of upcoming expansion sets or software updates.
