I know that KWA does not have standard threading on their receivers, and therefore are incompatable with many 3rd party RIS systems.  I have, however, heard from many sources all over the web that this issue will soon be resolved.  I was wondering precisely when this will take place, I wa s hoping that this would be in time for Christmas.

I am planning on buying a KM-16 BR soon.  When should I order (from AirsoftGI) to ensure that I get a model with the correct threading.

How would I differentiate a KM-16 with correct threading from one with old threading, without actually taking off the handguard and testing it (would there be different trademarks for a second edition)?

Sorry I ask so many questions, I understand that you may not be able to answer them all, but any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There is only 2 different threads in the airsoft guns.  One base on Real Steel, one base on TM.  KWA follows TM threading but a few batch that when out have a slight different in pitch.  so it's very hard to screw on the receiver.  A retreading tool is a very simple solution to resolve the issue.

I have no comments on the trade marking at the moment.

When I bought my Madbull JP I was told by Madbull that their products are all Milspec. Inorder to make it fit they told me to get their retooling device or sand off the paint. Once I sanded the paint off, it fit perfect!
