I swapped the upper and lower housings. Stock is real steel. Only the internals are KWA.

Successful test fire.

Isn't the lower legally considered a firearm? I know a stripped AR15 lower is. Although, that KRISS lower doesn't house any guts, it's just like a cover I guess.

Yep. The KRISS Vector internal skeleton is the registered firearm.

Here is a pic of my naked KRISS Carbine lower.

If you look at your KWA KRISS, you can see cut outs that show "KWA Made in Taiwan" and a cut out for the fake serial number. Same thing there is a metal skeleton underneath.

So the polymer housing, for the Vector is not the registered part. It is just a sleeve.

Actually it is more closer to $200 after I thought about the actual costs and shipping. Some of the parts were update replacements for my real Kriss so they didn't cost me anything.

Kriss USA. But I don't know if they will sell them. I got the lower housing as an upgrade/replacement when I sent my real steel in for warranty work. I asked them to return any parts they replaced.  Since I sent the real steel in without the stock, they had to charge me for a replacement stock in order to ship it back directly to me. They were worried about the legality of it due to NY stupid laws.

The upper receiver was bought cause I have a hook up. But it sounds like they don't normally sell the polymer housings.
