ksc bbs aren't very good.

BTW you never should of had jams. Something was wrong with either the bbs our your barrel...

Meh... maybe you got a bad batch.  All the KSC bbs I'd used before performs very well.

I think it comes down to opinion JOE...cause in my opinon...G&G suck. I have used many different namebrands...Bioval and Bio-shot are good for the purposes that serve...but the brands I like:

1. KSC
2. Airsoft Elite
3. TSD Elite
4. Madbull
5. Excel

G&G is better than all of those. That's not just opinion. Have you ever used Bioval or Bioshot?

Yes in some of their batches they have misshaped bbs but the others are great. Definitely better than 2-5 for sure. What G&G bbs did you use?

Actually it is an opinion because airsoft has too many variables and not enough constants to say one BB brand is better than another...its too inconsistent...purely based off what works best based on the users point of view...

I have had terrible luck with Madbull bbs.
My favs are G&G, Bioval, Bioshot, and goldenball.
As said, matrix barrel = rip off. A madbull 6.03 or 6.01 would have been better.
Oh, and .25s are the new .20. I have only used .20s when they were free and I didnt have another choice.

Evike's matrix stuff is a complete ripoff. It's just a rebrand of the crappiest things evike can find and calling it matrix. I don't order from them unless it's absolutely the only option. I got burned by the a couple of times can you tell?

hasnt everyone been burned by EVIKE at least once?    :rolleyes2:

now lets get back somewhere closer to the discussion on the barrels....

i was actually VERY pleased with the 6.03 barrel and being able to make those shots at those distances in regular outdoor conditions.

hell i thought that was GOOD!

you guys would all obviously shoot me before i got out of my truck at an event.

but ive got a EDGI barrel coming and my next move will be to compare the EDGI barrel to the one ive got now and see if there is any difference that shows up.

will post it here when it happens.

so is a prometheus 6.03mm tightbore barrel worth it? im not looking at 6.01s due to have to clean it way more than a 6.03. i would need a 509mm long barrel for an sr12.

Promy is highly regarded. I don't think you will find a noticeable difference between that and an EDGI, but I cant say from experience. I have only used Madbull 6.03s and 6.01s.
Worth is totally up to you.

Yup, might have to get it from EdGI directly though.

Is a matter of fact I have.

Bioval -  while it's very good.  It's hard to find stock and expensive.
Bio-shot - very good result, I like it but I have to finish the bag very quickly as once it's opened it will swell within a couple weeks.
G&G - LOL.... pure crap...  at least for me.  Maybe I got a bad batch.

Other good BBs.

Jumping on this topic a little late.

I tried a Matrix barrel (407mm) 6.03mm in my 2Gx KM4 and accuracy was nice, but noticed I wasn't getting the range I get with the stock KWA barrel.

Then my buddy has a 395mm 6.03mm EDGI barrel and I used it in my KM4.  Amazing.  I was easily hitting people out to 180+ feet.
(I google earth measurements based on landmarks)

I bought a KM Head 363mm, 6.04mm barrel for my KM4 and most the regulars I play against think my KM4 is shooting hot (over 400fps).  I use the gun at many
regulated games and it's chrono'd every time.  Always shooting 396-400fps.  I easily get 180+ft range with the KM Head barrel and noticed a bit
of improvement over stock barrel (which is fairly nice barrel).  A fps gain, better accuracy and a few more feet of "effective" range.

I've tested nearly a dozen barrel brands (madbull, matrix, pdi, prometheus, stock, edgi, km head, jbu etc)  in KWA's and most don't sit correctly in the 2GX hop up unit,
or the 2Gx bucking doesn't seal around the barrel well (loss of compression).  Could explain reduction in range with some barrels.

With bb's, a guy at the local field was selling Pforce bb's.  Had average results and a lot of feed issues with those.  Went back to ordering and using KSC bb's and all is right with the World again.

TSD's and Goldenball bb's have been very good in my KWA's over the last year and a half.  I run .28 TSD's in my M9 PTP and get nothing but straight shots and nice range with those.

How much would that cost? And do they have a website or
something that I could them to get the 6.03 509mm edgi barrel? Thanks
