Clean it!
I've cleaned the @$%& out of it, although today is the first time since installation that I've actually made a point of cleaning the bucking... maybe now it will be better?

I have to completely disassemble the hop up in order to properly clean the inside of the bucking. The last time I did it, I was having the same problem as you and I cleaned a white, wax like substance from the nub on the inside of the bucking. I had to scrape it off with a small screwdriver.

That would most likely be BB frag but I'm guessing you know that.

Yes, I put a lot of bbs through my gun. So much so that I have to disassemble and thoroughly clean the hop up bucking in order to get it to function properly every two to three weeks.

Makes sense to me.  Though I have seen, and expirianced, instances where the BB ramp needed polishing due to it being "rough".  The roughness caused additional BB frag to collect in the hop-up.  It also caused misfeeds.

*****UPDATE****
Holy crap, now this LM4 is shooting awesome.!!
I was still not satisfied with the performance of the evo II, I even switched to the guarder bucking and left the evo tensioner and could not get past the 180 feet effective with 0.30 bbs. I put back the maple leaf bucking BUT bent the evo II arm so it could apply more pressure.

For the first time in a year since I've had this gun I can finally hop 0.40 effectively. 200 ft and a man target is an easy target. Did the same mod on two other lm4 with stock fps with ratech barrels and all now love using 0.40s. With the hop up nob 0.30s can also be used nicely.

So there you go, some need positive and other negative bends on the arms depending on your BB weights.

My setup
Minor shave on the rocket valve
KM head 6.02 barrel
EVOII hop up with maple bucking
385fps with 0.40s

Holy $#!^, 385 with .40's?! That energy transfer is the equivalent of a .20 at 550...

Gas guns loose much less fps than AEGs when using heavier Bbs. With 0.25 bbs it shoots 430 fps max.

Well it's also due to power creep; the gases continue expanding behind the BB as it moves out of the barrel, so the heavier/slower the BB is to move the more power it will have behind it. The LM4 has been a prime example of this, it's just always mind blowing to me when I see those numbers...

Does this kit use this hop up arm? http://shop.ehobbyas...ksc-m9-gbb.html . I'm thinking of using the barrel with the stock hop on my KWA m9 since it works fantastic. And just use the arm for my LM4 since I think the stock arm isn't putting any decent pressure at all on the maple leaf bucking I'm using (55+/- feet effective range and just drops like a rock after. Pretty depressing for an LM4 range wise.)

Anything labelled "EVO II"should include the new tensioner. I'm not sure the barrel will work with the stock hop-up though. Last I knew the ball bearing style hop-ups required a different barrel cut.

Would there any other parts to this kit that could be used on the lm4 like the new sleeve and hop adjustment cylinder?

From looking at the picture it seems that you can use everything minus the hop up adjustment cylinder and the barrel. Not surprising since many of us who ordered the kits the second they were released bought Glock kits and tossed the barrel and adjustment cylinder.

So I am working on adjusting my hop up with my 6.01 RAT barrel. I have bent the arm a little at a time but each time, the hop up adjustment is non existent. It seems like I will have to do the equivalent of R hopping or just permanently setting the hop up before installation. Anyone with similar experiences? Am I supposed to set it permanently before I put the barrel back together or is there supposed to be some adjustment capabilities?

Thanks,

AA

Yes it is. I purchased that item you've linked above and put it in my LM4 with no issues. Those parts there are the only ones you need really, though I think a tight bore would be a really good idea. I haven't upgraded my barrel yet, so I'm fairly sure that the only thing giving me odd fliers is the barrel. The EVO II gives it way more range and accuracy, but as I said before I think a new barrel will give it just that little extra consistency you'll want.

I've been following this post for awhile now and I've been trying to replicate boobie's results with the evo ii. Unfortunately I've been failing miserable to the point I'm considering selling the gun. Today, when I fielded the gun it chronod at 287 fps with .30s. Now it could be that the chrono was set for .25s because that was the highest setting, but if that is my true fps is something horribly wrong? Also my range is poor approx 100 feet. Even without bending the evo ii arm the bb's never overhopped. The hop up just doesn't seem to adjust at all either because I have it turned up all the way. I would greatly appreciate any advice you guys could give me!

Edit: I have a 6.01 Rat barrel and the evo ii installed.

You need to bend the arm so it applies more pressure to the BB. I had the same issue, slightly bending downward fixes it.

Your FPS is low, double check everything (piston oring, bucking, mags, etc) or try a different chrono.

Bend it so it lies flat with just the end sticking up correct?
And the mags and bucking are fine they are brand new
Stupid question but where exactly is the piston o ring?
Could a faulty piston o ring cause that loss of fps?

So I bought two of the items I put a link for above on airsoft taiwan.  I payed but my account says that it is unpaid and unconfirmed and therefore unshipped.  now I bought it today so there might be some lag between the servers.  idk.  Is it the website just not updating, I have heard of asian sites doing this sometimes.  anyone know what to expect.  just a quick question.
